The Layers was created in response to customer demand in 2017, officially opening its first branch in February 2021 at Jalan Panji, Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
Known for premium patisseries and desserts, each bake is crafted using only the finest ingredients.
Beyond desserts, The Layers offers a cake ranging from Asian to Western dishes, alongside freshly brewed coffee and cold beverages.
The brand name reflects the layered beauty of a gateau, and the café’s aesthetic blends olive green, white, and brown with garden, vintage, and Nordic styles.
Owned by Ahmad Faris Bin Ramli, who launched during the MCO, The Layers has gained recognition, with Faris Ramli being featured in Inspirasi Usahawan Pelajar in 2021 by Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia as one of successful young entrepreneurs.
The Layers name is inspired by the view of layers from gateau (cake) cross-section when cutting a slice of cake.
Conceptually, the owner picked olive green and white as their color palette to contradict and brought the garden element + vintage + nordic style theme. It is owned by Ahmad Faris Bin Ramli, a young entrepreneur whom bravely gambling the sake of his career to launch the cafe during the imposition of Movement Control Order. At aged of 28 years old, he has been featured in Inspirasi Usahawan Pelajar article as one of the young successful entrepreneurs and went viral several of time.
